IT Manager & FileMaker Developer - Harvey Water Softeners Limited.

2000-Present : Complete career change. They asked if I could help sort their non existent IT out. I created their first proper network, introduced a formal FileMaker server-client topology and then began to convert every paper based business process from Dealer Network Sales, Retail Sales, Installations and Service, Rental and Finance to a bespoke digital version saving thousands of man hours and processing millions of pounds worth of business.

Most recently, I designed and built a custom Retail system that handles thousands of incoming leads from web, phone and postal channels. It controls hundreds of bookings for 100 field based sales & engineering staff through dedicated custom iPad Apps deployed over the air using MDM technology. More importantly, it controls the complete workflow between all of the other systems. In its first year of operation it contributed to a 40% increase growth.

1996-1998 : I worked for many clients including BBC, Children's ITV, Channel 4, SKY Sports,Disney, Hasbro, M&S and British AeroSpace. I was also a demonstrator for Media100 Non Linear Editing systems at IBC Amsterdam and BVE London. NLE was in its infancy and this is where I cut my teeth on computer technology, building and maintaining edit suites.
